    LuxCal 2.6.1b - Changelog

    What's new in LuxCal 2.6.1:

    · One or two check boxes can be activated per event category. They can be used to keep track of the progress of events.
    · Now the display of the menus and aids in the Navigation bar depend on the page which is displayed.
    · A new admin setting has been added. If set, the admin will receive an email notification with details of each self registration.
    · Two new views have been added, Work Month view and Work Week view. The admin can specify which week days should be displayed in these views.
    · By centralizing a number of functions used by the calendar, the HTML code which the calendar produces is much cleaner and significantly reduced in size.
    · The log-in dialogue is displayed in its own small window. Needed to add user authentication to the mini calendar in a later LuxCal version.
    · For users having problems after the installation of the LuxCal calendar, a configuration tool can be downloaded from the Download page.
    · Many small improvements, corrections and bug fixes, which make the calendar much more robust.

    What's new in LuxCal 2.6.0:

    · A new text search feature has been added. Wild cards are allowed and various selection criteria can be specified.
    · Increased security: calendar settings moved to database and database credentials encrypted.
    · New setting details4all. If set, event details are only visible to the event owner and users with Post All rights.
    · For events repeating every Xth Mo|Tu|We|Tu|Fr|Sa|Su of the month, the month can now be specified as well. E.g. Every last Sunday of October.
    · The scripts to import and export iCal (.ics) files have been improved significantly to better meet the RFC 5545 standard.
    · A new installation problem solving tool has been developed. For security reasons this tool only available on request.
    · Several further improvements and many minor corrections and bug fixes.

    What's new in LuxCal 2.5.3:

    · Simplified user interface; drop-down menus in the navigation bar have moved to a new Options Panel.
    · In the options panel the view, the language and event owner and category filters can be selected.
    · The filters in the options panel allow for multiple event owner or event category selections.
    · The admin's Settings page has been restructured in a more logical way to cope with the new options panel.
    · When logging in a "remember me" checkbox can be selected to make future log-ins automatic.
    · Colors can be assigned to users. The admin can select user colors or category colors for the calendar views.
    · Deleted event categories are earmarked "deleted", but not physically deleted.
    · The start month in year view can be set by the admin.

    What's new in LuxCal 2.5.0:

    · Single occurrences of repeating and multi-day events editable.
    · Important efficiency improvement and simplification (events and dates tables merged).
    · Admin can assign created events to individual users.
    · The time slot size in day/week view can be set by the admin.
    · Styles for event popups moved to styles sheet (normal, private and repeating events).
    · Edit Event window: "5th" and "6th" day/week/month/year added to the repeat function.
    · Various changes to pass the W3C's XHTML validator, improving multi-browser support.

    What's new in LuxCal 2.4.2:

    · Stability/bug fix release.

    What's new in LuxCal 1.4:

    · New: Via the Settings page, the calendar administrator will be able to set the first day of the week to either Monday or Sunday. The first day of the week in the date-picker will change accordingly.
    · New: A new script is available to embed one specific calendar view in an other web site, for instance Upcoming Events. This view has no navigation bar and no footer bar. Visitors will be able to view this page, but will not be able to navigate other calendar views.
    · New: During the installation process it is possible to enter a prefix for the database table names. This may be useful if you are short of databases and want to share the database with other applications or use it for for more than one LuxCal calendar installation.
    · New: URLs added in the description field of events will result in a separate line showing the hyperlink in month view.
    · The number of months displayed per row in year view can now be selected via the settings page. This is in particular interesting when the calendar is embedded in an other web page and has a limited width.
    · The selection of the user interface language file and the user guide file in different languages via the settings page has been made easier and more flexible. When different languages have been installed, switching to an other language is very easy. Furthermore an explanation has been added in the installation instructions with regard to the use of special characters and the required character encoding.
    · The user interface language file will now also be used by the Date Picker (Javascript) for the months, day of the week and button texts.
    · Several small improvements and bug fixes.

    What's new in LuxCal 1.4:

    · A new Settings page has been added. This page is available from the calendar's Navigation Bar for the administrator to easily change calendar layout settings, rather than editing the config.php file.
    · Prevent the LuxCal Calendar content from being indexed by search engine robots.
    · The LuxCal Calendar code is now PHP6 ready. All deprecated code has been replaced.
    · Some minor, mostly administrative, updates.
