Gnew 2013.1 - Changelog

What's new in Gnew 2012.4:

· chars2entities() and html_entity_decode() functions replaced by utf8_entities() and utf8_chars()
· Cut_text(), do_html() and format_code() functions improved
· Tables columns resized for UTF-8 entities and temporary forms data
· UTF-8 support (see the note below)
· Highlighted elements in a search improved
· The size of uploaded files is now checked
· [email=] BBcode image added
· Back link changed when an error occurs during submission (with forms data preserved)
· Protection of the \ character when it is not an escape character

What's new in Gnew 2012.3:

· Possibility to purge the cache files in the cache/ directory from the admin section
· Date of RSS feeds fixed (GMT)
· Improved management of articles for the public section: articles/index.php lists items while articles/read.php displays them
· Major improvements in the text processing functions: chars2entities(), cut_text() and do_html()
· Iimproved alignment of code lines ([code] BBcode)
· sql/ directory moved to install/
· Index initialization checked in comments/search.php, news/search.php and posts/search.php files
· Minor templates improvements

· Forum: the categories names are now displayed in the list of threads
· Small fixes for templates: background color of quote and code boxes (implied) + XHTML compliance

· The file install/upgrade.php was moved to install/update.php for consistency
· Reorganization of the sql/ directory
· Optimization of PNG images
· New section for writing and displaying articles + RSS feed
· Notification of a new version of GENU to moderators and administrators
