It was conceived initially as a container for web applications called Turdlets, themselves conceived as a simple alternative to Servlets.

This application is intended as a clean, scalable and stable web server in Java without the complexity and steep learning curve that comes with running Tomcat.

Here are some key features of "Tomkitty":

Requirements:

· Apache Ant
· Java 1.5+

Limitations:

· The latest version should be considered alpha software and does not work on Windows.
