Gearman-Server 1.11

A Perl implementation of the Gearman distributed computing system
This is actually the original source code from which the current C-based Gearman system was ported from.

As the current official Gearman implementation, it allows computational tasks to run in parallel across multiple stations.

This code runs the Gearman system itself in Perl, for Perl wrappers, this package should be used.

Main features:

  • Fast processing
  • Round robin scheduling
  • Coalescence
  • Internationalized
  • Job retries
  • Fault tolerance, so crashes don't stop the server
  • Flexibility, for a wide usage application
  • Embeddable
