    Power Window System description

Power Window System - MathWorks products in the system design lifecycle all the way from requirements to code synthesis

To start this demonstration, change directory to the one where the program is located and type 'open powerwindow.htm' at the MATLAB prompt. The demonstration ships standard with Simulink 6 as a 'demo'.

This demonstrates the use of different MathWorks products, tools, and blocksets for a power window control system. Stateflow captures the initial specifications to wich the model coverage tool are applied for verification. Continuous plant behavior is included in Simulink to facilitate hybrid dynamic analyses. Mapping a structured analysis allows systematically including systems effects. A detailed plant model using SimPowerSystems and SimMechanics allows analysis of power effects (maximum force exerted by the window on an object).

The geometry of the system mechanics is studied by a Virtual Reality representation. Detailed data acquisition effects (e.g., signal conditioning) are modeled and analyzed in conjunction with the control. The Fixed Point Blockset allows analysis of implementation details such as range and resolution. CAN communication effects can then be included to model the distributed nature of the sytem hardware. The Real-Time Workshop then automatically synthesizes the controller code for the desired target.

    Requirements:

    · MATLAB Release: R12.1
