Leveraging from millions of songs hosted on YouTube, this little PHP script will take an YouTube ID, retrieve the audio track and play it locally on the page it's being used on.
It will automatically build an interface similar to what YouTube uses, but without the video canvas, allowing users seamless interaction with the player, since everyone recognizes the controls and what they're for.
A demo is included with the download package.
A YouTube Audio Player code generator is also provided as a self-hosted service, generating the HTML object code needed to embed such a player on any Web page.
