Works with browser windows from the same manufacturer.
This means it won't synchronize data between an instance of a page opened in Google Chrome and one in Firefox.
The plugin was written before any browser had SharedWorker implemented - which makes message passing possible natively. Now, some browsers support this feature and the plugin might be used as a fallback or alternative system.
A demo is incuded with the download package.
