By default, the plugin is constructed to run with ClamAV, but many other malware scanners can be integrated.
The plugin works by passing each uploaded file to the malware scanner, which based on the result can take preset actions.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
It is recommended to be used with the php-clamav library.
