While many similar WP plugins come packed with a set of icons that might not fit a webmaster's site design and style, this plugin allows the admin to search and add icons to his blog which then to use with the plugin.
A backend administration page is provided where the admin can search icons on IconFinder.com and add them to his list of social media networks.
For each icon he can add a title and link target.
After setting up his list of desired social networks, he can go to the sidebar configuration screen, add the SocialIcons widget and have all active links show up on the frontend.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
Requirements:
· WordPress 3.2 or higher
· PHP 5 or higher if using WP 2.7 or higher
