Akismet 3.0.4

An open source WordPress plugin that checks comments against Automattic's Akismet Web service to see if they look like spam or not
Akismet - An Akismet API key is needed for this plugin to work and stop your site's spam

The Akismet plugin was one of WordPress' first ever plugins, developed by WordPress' own creator with the sole intent of detecting spam.

The plugin now works via the Akismet Web service, a series of servers that read comments submitted via WordPress blogs and detect if it's spam or user generated.

What's marked as spam is then sent to the blog's Comments administration page, where the admin can review them individually and delete them from the site.

Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
