FileField Meta Refresh 6.x-1.0-rc1

To get around these limits, the module fixes most problem by examining the files in the system, generating fresh meta data, comparing it to the meta data stored and offer to update the meta data if the list is submitted.

Installation:

Unpack in your modules folder (usually '/sites/all/modules/')
Enable under Administer > Site Building > Modules

Requirements:
