Standard Drupal permissions apply, so you can control who sees your status.
Since the feed URL can be anything, this may work with other data sources that offer one-liners in RSS format. In some cases, such as a Twitter feed where the flow of your posts may be important, the aggregator module is a better solution. This module preserves only your most recent update, which reflects normal Facebook usage.
This module does not conflict or depends on the RSS aggregator module.
