    imageProtect.js description

    This is a JavaScript tool to prevent illegal image downloads

    The method is not full-proof, but prevents the user from downloading the image via the right click menu option "Save image as."

    To protect the image, the script overlays a transparent GIF image on top of the original photo.

    When the user tries to save the photo, the transparent GIF is saved instead.

    Requirements:

    · JavaScript enabled on client side

    Limitations:

    · Code comments in french, but nothing that Google Translate can't handle.
