jQuery In-field Labels Plugin does not rely on HTML5's placeholder attribute for showing form field labels inside the field itself.
It does this via jQuery, manually moving and positioning the label inside the field.
Nevertheless, behavior is similar, the label text disappearing every time the user focuses the mouse inside the field and reappearing every time the user focuses out without entering any new content.
A demo form is included with the download package.
