For a number of years, IntraVision Software Inc. has been developing and deploying state of the art websites for medical employment. The latest version of the employment websites was a conversion from classic ASP to ASP.NET. A number of tools and controls were developed concurrently to provide functionality unavailable within ASP.NET and to enhance the user interface.
Validation Controls
All validation controls offer both client side and server side validation.
CheckSelectedCount Validator - validates that number of selected entries is between selectable lower and upper limits
ListBox Validator - ensures that a valid selection has been made from a list.
Group Validator - validates entries into a number of controls contained inside a panel. Validation types are 'all', 'at least one', 'all or none', and 'just one'. Also permits overeride on verification failure.
RadioButtonGroup Validator - validates that one of a radio button group has been selected.
ScripGuard Validator - validates that no script has been entered.
TextLength Validator - validates that the length of entered text is between programmable limits
General Purpose Web Page Controls
Address Control - offers a complete set of fields for address entry, including city, country, region, postal code and phone numbers. Extensively customizable, this control will make form creation for address entry almost trivial. Based on the....
CountryList Control - offers unprecedented flexibility and capability to display either a restricted or complete set of countries, and provide country specific information such as regular expresions for validating postal codes and phones, as well as states/provinces for the selected country.
BlockBackKey Control - prevents (almost) the back key on a browser from having any effect.
Border Control - provides a comprehensive control for placement of borders
CheckBoxList Control - provides a mechanism to set checkbox state from an array of values.
ConfirmButton Control - prompts for confirmation before proceeding. Supports reverse logic.
Focus Control - sets the focus of a web page to the specified control.
ListBox - supports simple selection of multiple items using arrays passes to properties of the control.
ListTextBox - combines a listbox and textbox into a single control, including optional required field and text length validators.
PopupHandler Control - programmatically generates Javascript required to pop up a message on a web page
HTML Conformance
HtmlOrganizer Module - reorganizes HTML emitted by the website to assist in conformance with HTML standards
Website Tracking
TrackUser Module - captures relevant information about website visitors to a SQL database (a replacement for traditional web log files) , with the unique ability to capture internal website data to the database. Allows tracking of requests for RSS XML files, downloads of ZIP files etc.
