HamlPy is not a template engine in itself but simply a compiler which will convert HamlPy files into templates that Django can understand.

HAML is a markup language that’s used to cleanly and simply describe the HTML of any web document without the use of inline code.

It is compiled into XHTML, similarly to ERB, and attempts to fix many flaws in templating engines like explicitly coding HTML into the templates.

Limitations:

· Does not support some of the filters yet.
