    This is a distributed file system that provides high throughput access to application data

    Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) is the primary storage system used by Hadoop applications.

    It makes multiple copies of data blocks and distributes them on nodes throughout a cluster to enable reliable, extremely rapid calculations.
