Phrozn 0.5.6

A fully-featured HTML static site generator written in PHP, inspired by similar toolkits like Jekyll, Cyrax, Webgen, Bonsai or Hyde
Phrozn reads content from text files, arranges them based on a template and rules system, adds CSS styles and renders an HTML page out of it.

Just edit the template and content files via your favorite editor, save and deploy/update the website.

All these tasks are done via a console, so you can easily automate it into a desktop executable if needed.

Phrozn  is a great tool for managing rarely updated, small to medium websites.

It can be used for large websites as well, but it can get pretty messy and is probably not a good idea to risk crashing a large website just because you we're too lazy to deploy a proper CMS and database with it.

Phrozn uses code from well-written and well-known open-source projects like PEAR, Zend Framework 2, Pirum, Symfony 2 and Twig.

Main features:

  • Supports multiple text formats
  • Extensible
  • Easy to use
  • Phrozn is strictly tested
  • Supported text files:
  • Twig Templates
  • LESS Stylesheet Language
  • Markdown
  • Textile
