    py-mysql2pgsql description

    This is a Pythons script for converting data from a MySQL database to PostgreSQL

    It can either create a PostgreSQL-compatible dump file or funnel data directly to a running PostgreSQL server.

    The script was mostly ported from a similar Ruby tool.

    Requirements:

    · Python 2.6 / 2.7
    · psycopg2
    · MySQL-python
    · termcolor
    · PyYAML
    · MySQL 5 or higher
    · PostgreSQL 8.2 or higher

    Limitations:

    · No support for importing spatial data from MySQL.
