PHP transForm is a form generator and processor that allows a website developer an easy way to view/add/edit/delete data in various databases.
In order to use PHP transForm, you must be using at least PHP4.1.1.
This PHP version includes the PEAR DB database abstraction code used by PHP transForm.
PHP transForm also uses the new variable passing methodology introduced in PHP4.1.x (ie. $_GET["variable"]).
To install PHP transForm, simply download the package file and uncompress / untar it somewhere into your website root. Then, update the defs.inc file specific to your environment.
This definition file basically gives hints to PHP transForm on how to represent your database tables in the generated html form.
There are other configuration directives to create pulldown menus, text areas, radio buttons, etc., but additional config directives are not required since PHP transForm will allow editing of your data through an html input type="text" element.
You'll have to look through the defs.inc file to see examples of these other viewing and editing options.
