    MariaDB Client Library for C description

    A native C client library for the MariaDB database system

    MariaDB is a community clone of the MySQL database. It was started by MySQL's original founder after the Sun purchase and is a drop-in replacement for MySQL.

    This library for MariaDB allows C developers to connect their apps to a MariaDB data storage system.

    The code for this client was inspired by two sources. One is PHP's mysqlnd extension. The second is the native MySQL C client library.

    For this reason, the API is identical to the official MySQL Connector/C.
