A Web-based tool for working with Apache Hadoop and its components, giving database administrations access to a simple management interface
Apache Ambari allows database administrators to install, manage and monitor Hadoop clusters.

Collecting metrics is done via Ganglia, while email alerts are sent out via Nagios.

Amabari is basically a Web-based administration GUI for Hadoop, a tool that simplifies carrying out various tasks for less skilled DB administrators.

Documentation, installation, and usage instructions are included with the download package.
