MonkeyCMS is a PHP/MySQL-based content management system (CMS) that offers unprecedented control over content, layout and users all through a web-browser interface.
It is totally scalable from the smallest intranet installation to the largest imaginable content-driven portal.
It can be operated by users of all skill levels - from the basic data inputter right up to the most accomplished HTML and PHP programmer. It offers unlimited expansion cability on top of it's already extensive functionality. You can use it as a blog, a portal, a review site or anything you like.
You can restrict your content to registered users or specific groups - and this can be done at the smallest granularity. You can have many admin users with different privileges allowing you to create a hierarchical content provider structure.

Powerful multi-user support - you can have as many admin users as you like and each one can have a different level of access. You can control who can do what and as superuser you have ultimate control over all users.
Banners and Affiliates - manage all of your revenue streams through MonkeyCMS. Log all banner impressions, clicks and conversions. Log all affiliate traffic and build deeplinks that are compatible with the majority of affiliate networks all through one familiar interface
Black Book - log all of your users infractions. Do you have a particular trouble maker? Log everything they do that breaks your rules and then ban them when you've had enough. You can even moderate individual user comments so if one user is causing problems you don't have to inconvenience everyone else!
Multiple languages - Create new language and message groups all through the MonkeyCMS interface. Your users can even select from all available languages through their user account settings!

- Updated the bannerad function to allow for fully-specified URLs to the jump script (useful for search engine friendly modifications)
- Fix to messages to correctly handle special HTML characters
- Updated uploadimage.php to handle messages to the image HTML
- Community searching - search for users profiles
- Support for using the username to access profiles as well as the ID
- Change to the displaydefinitionlist function to allow for just RSS or searchable definitions to be listed.
- User options updated to include privacy in searches and in private messaging
- Private messaging for users - you can turn this on or off on a site-wide and per-user basis. There are also moderation options and you can set a message quota. Users can report comments and they are stored as threads so whole discussions are available to be viewed by users. Users can specify privacy options restricting messages to just their friends or all registered users.
Changes in 1.3.4 Version:
This release adds new tagging functionality to allow both content authors to tag their content for easy searching and for your visitors to add their own tags to build their own content indexes - allowing them to easily retrieve content that they would like to refer to in the future.
There are also a number of bug fixes and compatibility improvements that widen the range of platforms MonkeyCMS will function on. |
