When Adobe released Flex 2 and ActionScript 3, I set an exciting goal for myself. I wanted to connect Flash to AOL Instant Messenger. I believe that the best way to learn a new programming language is to work on decent-sized project that requires a developer to live and breathe the documentation for a week. You can’t know if a tool is right for the job until you’re experienced with it.
