User Access Manager provides visual graphical web interface. Using your web browser you will be able to perform all operations like password protection, user access control, user management etc.
With visual graphical web interface you don't have to study Apache password protection tutorials, access directives and any programming to password protect pages and to manage user access.
Visual graphical web interface - that is the mode to operate with graphical objects to manage user access. You will operate with your catalog tree image, tables and forms. You always watch what you are doing on the catalogue tree image (What you see is what you get).
To protect folder or file click only on the catalogue tree image element - folder or file and it will be protected at once. To allow/deny user access also click only on the folder/file image and it will be open/closed for that user access.
User Access Manager uses most widely accepted basic authentication method that provides reliability and user access control for the different files regardless of content - text files with articles or news, photo, video, digital product etc.
User Access Manager interprets all your data operations and operations with catalogue tree image into the directives of access control files - .htaccess/htpasswd. But you don't need to know that - User Access Manager "knows" that and automatically generates and updates .htaccess/htpasswd access control files according to all your actions.
You may describe protected content (restricted access pages, digital products etc.) and it's location in the directories. Then User Access Manager will "know" protected content location at all following steps and you may specify user access in the terms of protected content but not in the terms of protected directories and files. Of course, you may operate only with directories and files without content description.
It is very easily to install User Access Manager - fill out fields of only single installation form, most of fields may be empty. User Access Manager will customize oneself to the catalogue tree and Apache server version.
