Yahoo lost its design chief this past week. Tim Parsey joined the company in 2011 and played the part of senior vice-president of user-experience design.
The week was full of Yahoo news, starting with announcing the purchase of Tumblr for $1.1 billion, updating Flickr and putting in a bid for Hulu, Mashable reports.
However, they also lost something along with Parsey’s departure from the Internet giant.
Parsey was part of redesigning Yahoo’s homepage, the Flickr photo-sharing site, the company’s email and more.
Before he joined Yahoo in 2011, Parsey worked for Apple, Motoroll, Microsoft and Mattel.
A reason for his leave has not been given publicly and neither has been the direction in which he was headed.
Rumor has it that Parsey is leaving in part because Yahoo’s new CEO, Marissa Mayer, is more “hands-on” than he’s comfortable with.
