Yahoo has snatched up another startup, namely e-commerce company Lexity.

The latter company made the announcement through a blog post, revealing that it will continue to work just like before.

“All Lexity apps, including our flagship app Lexity Live, will continue to run seamlessly and we are putting more resources towards making them even better,” founder Amit Kumar said.

Lexity will continue to support merchants on any e-commerce platform, such as BigCommerce, Magento, and Shopify.

The company was founded in 2009 by a former Yahoo product management director, Amit Kumar, and it has tens of thousands of customers in 114 countries around the world.

Yahoo has been on a shopping spree over the past few months, with the biggest investment being in Tumblr. However, it also bought news-reading app Summly, storytelling app Qwiki and e-mail address book company Xobni.

Most services from smaller companies have been shut down in the process.
