Twitter has rolled out automatic language translation for tweets viewed on Twitter.com.
Although there has been no official announcement of the new feature, the translations have begun showing for numerous users across the Twitterverse.
The Bing-powered translations support several languages so far, while more are certainly going to be added later on.
Since the feature is only available to a limited number of users, this is probably only now being rolled out.
When opening up an individual twitter, a line appears underneath it that spells “View translation.”
Clicking on it immediately triggers a translation from a specific language with the help of the Bing service.
The results aren’t exactly flawless and don’t really follow grammar rules, since such a program is yet to be developed, but you can at least get the idea of what that tweet says.
