Script of the Day: NotFound404

Help parents find their lost children by customizing your 404 error page

By on November 26th, 2012 17:01 GMT

The NotFound404 script will help webmasters transform a website's 404 error pages into missing kids listings.

If you're a tender soul inclined to help others on a regular basis, and seeing a kid's photo on the back of a milk carton makes you cry, this is the only script that will make you sleep in peace at night.

NotFound404 works by embedding an iframe with random photos of lost kids recorded with the notfound.org public database. Every time the page is reached or refreshed, a new missing kid's details are displayed.

Kenny Katzgrau has integrated NotFound404 with the WordPress platform. You can download the plugin from here or search it on the WordPress plugin repository under the name “NotFound.org 404 Page.”
