Even if its name does not give this away, Filterable jQuery Portfolio Plugin is a actually a WordPress plugin. It can be used to create, manage and maintain a person's or company's online portfolio.
If as a developer you don't know what “filterable portfolio” means, then you probably have been living under a rock for the past 3-4 years.
Anywhere you look these days, on theme marketplaces like ThemeForest or MojoThemes, in the portfolios of big Web-design companies and practically in almost all newer online stores, it's there every time.
The portfolio “filter.” A small selector which allows the viewer to click it and filter portfolio items based on tags or categories. With more or less animation, it's there in almost any commercial WP, Joomla or Drupal theme you may buy these days.
And until now, there haven't been too many “really good” open source options of a filterable portfolio. Especially in WordPress.
But there is one now, thanks to guys at Nimble3, who have decided to approach the freemium model in promoting their new WordPress plugin.
And while the open sourced version can rock your world, an enhanced commercial version is also available, providing extra sorting features, more front-end themes and the possibility to manage more than one portfolio.
The plugin is available on the WordPress plugin repository, making it easier to install via WP's built-in plugin installation tool.
