Script of the Day: BracketPress

A WordPress plugin for managing sport tournament brackets

By on February 27th, 2013 17:01 GMT

BracketPress is one of the easiest to use toolkits for managing sport tournament brackets out there. And this statement covers non-WordPress solutions as well.

Benefiting from a KISS-based interface, BracketPress allows easy editing of complicated tournament brackets, along with the teams that participate in them.

Designed basically for NCAA's March Madness, BracketPress can be used with any sport tournament that uses a bracketing system for deciding the winner.

While the basic free version of the plugin provides all the functionality you might expect and need, new features can be added to BracketPress by installing extra add-ons (some free, some commercially licensed).

And for March Madness fans, there's also a BracketPress PRO version (available under a commercial license) with more features and tight integration with the NCAAB final tournament.

The plugin is available on the WordPress plugin repository, making it easier to install via WP's built-in plugin installation tool.
