Students can spend their summers coding and get paid for itTo no one's surprise, Google is getting ready for the ninth edition of the Google Summer of Code. The 2013 program will most likely be the biggest ever.
Google Summer of Code 2013 is now underway with the company getting ready to accept proposals from both universities to provide students and groups to provide projects for the students to work on.
It's still a month until the program begins accepting proposals, but anyone interested should be getting started making the preparations.
Considering that this is the ninth time Google is running the program, finding documentation and guidance, both for students and organizations, shouldn't be a problem.
Proposals for projects from open source organizations will begin on March 18, students will be able to apply for them during April and May.
