Marissa Mayer is busy creating the "new" Yahoo and what better place to start than the homepage, one of the things Yahoo is best known for. Experimental versions of a redesigned homepage have been spotted in the wild for the past few months, but Yahoo is getting closer to rolling out the new homepage to everyone.
The latest iteration of the design seems a bit more reigned in, compared to some of the first tests, but the idea and the focus is the same, more spotlight in the content, more visual content and a somewhat touch-friendly layout.
Obviously, the new site isn't a major departure from the old one, but it is an improvement in almost every aspect. First and foremost, it's a lot cleaner and a bit better spaced out, something the Yahoo homepage clearly needed.
