The second beta for the upcoming WordPress 3.5 is here, with plenty of bug fixes and improvements, ready for eager bloggers to test. The latest update adds a few new features and functionality, on top of what was available in the first beta.
WordPress 3.5 Beta 2 adds a simpler way of managing image galleries. You can drag and drop images to rearrange them and edit captions with just one click.
This is part of the multimedia overhaul that is planned in WordPress 3.5 Beta 2, it's the major theme of this release.
There's also a new UI for the static front pages used by the Reading Settings screen. Finally, a new image editing API has been added.
It's still early in the development cycle, so there are bound to be plenty of bugs in this release as well, using it for anything other than testing, curiosity or development is obviously not recommended.
